Hyaluronic acid is a natural component of the human skin. It binds water and thus imparts volume and elasticity upon the skin. Skin aging is caused not only by life- and age-related factors such as excessive sun, smoking, environmental noxious agents and stress, but also by genetic factors as well as inflammation and injuries. The skin, damaged by these factors, loses its hyaluronic acid, leading to wrinkle development. Since hyaluronic acid is not obtained from animals, there is no risk of allergic reactions or transmission of diseases. You can start the treatment without an allergy test.
The effects last several months, depending on the type of skin and on external factors such as smoking, sun and stress. After the initial treatment, a follow-up treatment once a year is sufficient in most cases. We use the networked, crystal-clear hyaluronic acid gel from the Swedish manufacturer Q-med Esthetics. The process is very easy and is carried out on an outpatient basis in a treatment room under local anaesthesia. After the treatment, some redness and swelling can develop at the treated site for 1 to 2 days. Most likely you will be able to resume your normal activities immediately after the treatment.
A few highly active drops of hyaluronic acid are injected with hair-thin needles precisely into the muscle to be treated. The needle pricks are barely felt. The initial results are seen in a couple of days. The skin becomes smoother, while lines and wrinkles go away.
POLY-L-lactic acid has the ability to strongly stimulate the synthesis of collagen. Wrinkles and contour changes are not only corrected optically; the tissue is permanently firmed up and smoothed by natural processes.
Irregularities and lumps under the skin after treatment with hyaluronic acid:
Hyaluronic acid is used to enhance the lips, inject wrinkles and fill eye circles. In most cases, the injection of the substance has no complications. The volume effect is immediately visible. This effect is very conspicuous if placed improperly, leading to irregularities and small lumps under the skin.
Our injection expert can break down the inappropriately injected hyaluronic acid with carefully dosed enzyme hylase. The `antidote` is targeted to the affected area and acts over the following couple of days. A pause in treatment of a couple of weeks to allow the tissue and skin to heal is advisable. If you wish to treat the initial problem area again, you should get thorough advice from a doctor of your confidence. In some cases, other therapies or surgical correction should be considered.
