The necklift:

The same technique is used for the necklift as for the facelift, either the MACS lift, or, in case of marked wrinkling or the so-called `turkey neck,` the SMAS lift. In both techniques, special attention is paid to the lift and the resulting strong traction in the neck area. The skin and the layer of connective tissue are tightened towards the neck and chin in particular.

Aggressive liposuction in the neck area is necessary in most cases. If muscle bands in the neck are too obvious, an additional incision roughly 3-4 cm long must be made under the chin. The bands of the neck musculature are partially sectioned and sown in the midline. A head dressing must be worn for about 5 days.
